Logo Design
This project began around June of 2017. CNBC’s Power Lunch wanted a redesign of their on the menu segment where a reporter stands in front of the LCD Wall and discusses current events and topics about the stock market. The old look had more of a restaurant feel and they wanted to modernize it. I designed the logo to look like a neon sign.
Incorporating the Show look, Designing for the Wall
I designed the template with the idea of having the Anchor stand between the logo and the topic. The color scheme matches the Power Lunch show colors. I created an animation for the logo which we imported into the Grand VJ (a program used to place animations in the Wall). The SPYDER operators (SPYDER is the program they use to move static elements in the wall) then animate on the images and titles. This segment was used daily from 2017 until present during Power Lunch. Eventually I worked with a Chyron operator to make the title self serve, so the Producers could type in the titles themselves quickly for air.
